You already know reviews sell. The harder question is which app should collect them, because review apps on Shopify now range from a flat $15 a month to $299 or more, and the price is usually tied to your monthly order count. Pick the wrong pricing model and a good sales month raises your bill.
This guide to the top 7 Shopify review apps is for store owners choosing their first review app, or reconsidering one that has got expensive. We compared each app’s live pricing page and Shopify App Store listing (checked 1 October 2026) on the things that change results: how reviews get requested, whether shoppers can add photos and video, what the free plan really includes, and what happens to a review after it’s published. That last point is our angle. Most review apps stop at the widget. We also looked at whether a review can trigger a follow-up email, show up in a popup, or flag an unhappy customer, without stitching three apps together. If you sell on more than one platform, our wider roundup of the best review apps for ecommerce covers the same ground beyond Shopify.
The 7 best review apps for Shopify, ranked
- Emailwish (our app) – Best for reviews, email, popups, chat and wishlists in one app
- Judge.me – Best for unlimited reviews on a free or flat $15 plan
- Loox – Best for photo-led brands on smaller order volumes
- Okendo – Best for growing brands that want reviews and loyalty from one vendor
- Yotpo – Best for brands that want Google Seller Ratings and AI review tools
- Growave – Best for stores that want loyalty, wishlist and reviews on one bill
- Stamped – Best for established brands with an existing Klaviyo stack

What to look for in a Shopify review app
Feature lists on Shopify review apps look almost identical: star ratings, photo reviews, a carousel, Google rich snippets. The differences that cost you money or sales sit underneath. These are the six things we’d check before installing anything.
1. What the price is tied to. Most Shopify review apps charge by monthly orders. Loox’s Convert plan includes 300 orders and adds $50 for every extra 300. Growave’s Entry plan includes 500 orders and charges $20 per extra 100. Judge.me is the exception with a flat $15 a month, and Emailwish charges by email credits and contacts, not orders. Before you choose, take your busiest month (Black Friday, a launch, a sale) and price each app at that volume, not your average.
2. What the free plan really includes. “Free” ranges from unlimited reviews with photos and video (Judge.me) to 50 orders a month (Yotpo and Okendo) to 10 published reviews per product (Ali Reviews). If you’re comparing free tiers specifically, our guide to the best free review apps for Shopify goes deeper.
3. Photo and video reviews, and on which plan. Visual reviews are the main reason many brands pick a review app. Check the plan, not the homepage: Loox’s free Beginner plan offers discounts for photo reviews, but video reviews are listed on Convert. Yotpo lists photo and video collection on Starter, not Free. Our roundup of the best photo review apps for Shopify compares this in detail.
4. How reviews get requested. Almost every review comes from a request email sent after delivery, so this is where your volume is decided. Look for automatic timing after fulfilment, reminders, and whether shoppers can leave the review inside the email. If you want to raise your numbers further, read how to get more reviews on Shopify.
5. Where the review goes next. A review is data about a customer. A five-star review is a chance to ask for a referral, and a two-star review is a support case before it’s a refund. Review-only apps hand this off to your email tool through an integration, often on a paid plan. Ask whether the app can trigger a follow-up from the review itself, and whether that data reaches the same customer profile your emails use.
6. Store speed and theme fit. Every widget adds code to your Shopify storefront. Install only the widgets you’ll use, check that the app supports your theme through Shopify’s app embeds and blocks, and run your product page through Google PageSpeed Insights before and after installing.
How we chose the top 7 Shopify review apps
We used the same criteria for every Shopify app on this list, in this order of weight. Our editorial policy explains how we research and update roundups.
- Review collection. Automated post-purchase requests, reminders, and photo and video uploads, and which plan unlocks each.
- Real price as you grow. The starting price, what it scales with (orders, credits or nothing), and the cost at a busy month.
- Free plan limits. Orders, reviews per product, branding and support on the free tier.
- Built-in features versus integrations. Does the review data stay in one place with your email, popups and chat, or does it need connecting to other apps? Each integration is another subscription, more setup, and another point where data can fall out of sync.
- Display and SEO. Widgets, carousels, Google rich snippets and Google Shopping.
- Imports. Moving reviews in from another app, AliExpress, Amazon or Etsy.
- Support. Channels and hours on each plan.
- Shopify App Store rating (lower weight). A useful signal, but ratings favour older apps with large install bases.
Pricing was taken from each vendor’s live pricing page and Shopify App Store listing on 1 October 2026. Where the two differ (Yotpo and Stamped), we show both. Loox’s own pricing page didn’t load on that date, so its prices come from its App Store listing.
1. Emailwish
Best for reviews, email, popups, chat and wishlists in one app

Emailwish isn’t a review-only app. It’s an all-in-one marketing app for Shopify and WooCommerce, and its Shopify reviews app runs inside the same dashboard as email marketing, popups, live chat and wishlists. That changes what a review can do.
How reviews work. After an order is delivered, Emailwish sends a review request email. The shopper leaves a star rating and a photo on the on-site review form, and approved reviews appear on a review wall on your product pages. The same reviews can also appear in your popups as social proof.
What makes it different: reviews that trigger the next step. Because reviews, email, popups, chat and wishlists all write to one customer profile, a review is a trigger, not just content. The after-review flow follows up automatically once someone leaves a review. You can segment on review behaviour too: send a recovery offer to a VIP who left a 2-star review, or ask a happy five-star reviewer to come back. With a review-only app, the same idea needs an integration with your email tool and a paid plan on both.
How setup works. When you install Emailwish, it reads your store name, logo, social links, products and brand details from Shopify, then writes the email copy in your brand’s voice and generates the email images. You pick a header and footer style, and about 10 flows go live, including review request, after-review, welcome, abandoned cart, form signup and chat follow-up. Every email and flow stays editable.
What we liked
- Review requests, the review wall and after-review follow-ups are part of one app, with no integration to maintain
- Reviews can be reused as social proof in popups
- The free Seed plan includes reviews, popups, live chat and email flows, with live chat and email support on every plan
Where it could improve
- Only 7 reviews on the Shopify App Store (rating 4.1), far fewer than the specialist apps here
- It’s younger than the review specialists and doesn’t list review imports, Google Shopping feeds or video reviews on its pricing or feature pages.
- No SMS, and A/B testing is still marked “coming soon”
Pricing and pricing model: Emailwish charges by email credits and contacts, not by orders, and every plan includes reviews, popups and forms, live chat, automations and segmentation. Seed is free for 100 contacts and 1,000 emails a month. Launch is $35/month (5,000 contacts, 10,000 emails, then $2 per 1,000 emails). Growth is $100/month (50,000 emails), and Enterprise is $1,000/month (480,000 emails). Removing Emailwish branding is on the higher plans only. There’s no free trial of paid plans, but there’s a free plan and no contract. See Emailwish pricing.
Integrations and platforms: Shopify and WooCommerce, with orders, products, browsing and checkout events synced from Shopify in real time.
Who should consider it: small and growing stores that would otherwise pay for a review app, an email app and a popup app separately, and want reviews to drive follow-up emails. If you’re also choosing an email tool, see our guide to the best email marketing apps for Shopify.
2. Judge.me
Best for unlimited reviews on a free or flat $15 plan

Judge.me has the most Shopify App Store reviews of any app on this list (47,797, rated 5.0) and the simplest pricing: two plans, and $15 a month is the most it says you can ever pay. There’s no order-based scaling, which makes it the safest choice if your volume swings a lot.
The free plan is unusually complete. It includes unlimited product and store reviews, unlimited photo and video reviews, Google rich snippets, review displays and carousels, and 24/7 chat and email support. The $15 Awesome plan adds AI replies, summaries and translations, social media and Google Shopping, coupons and referrals, all integrations and full widget customization. Judge.me can also import or sync reviews from AliExpress, Amazon, Etsy, Google Business Profile and the Shop app. At the time of our check, it was also promoting a new Judge.me Email product with 15,000 free emails a month.
What we liked
- Unlimited reviews, with photos and video, on the free plan
- A flat $15/month ceiling, with no extra charge for more orders
- The broadest import options here, including AliExpress, Amazon and Etsy
Where it could improve
- Integrations with email tools such as Klaviyo, Omnisend and Mailchimp, plus full customization, need the paid Awesome plan
- Reviews live in Judge.me, so targeting a follow-up email on review behaviour depends on a separate email tool and its integration
Pricing: Free at $0, or Awesome at $15/month. Judge.me pricing.
Who it’s for: almost any Shopify store that wants a dependable review app without a variable bill, from first sale to high volume.

3. Loox
Best for photo-led brands on smaller order volumes

Loox is built around visual social proof. It’s rated 4.9 from 9,727 reviews on the Shopify App Store, and its listing leans on turning reviews into social posts and stories.
The free Beginner plan covers stores up to 500 orders and includes review request emails and reminders, discounts for photo reviews, 17+ widgets, Google rich snippets, social posts from reviews, Shop app syndication and 24/7 chat and email support. The Convert plan adds video reviews, AI sorting, summaries, translations and replies, reviews on product bundles, referrals, Google, Meta and TikTok syndication, and integrations, API access and webhooks.
What we liked
- A generous free plan for stores up to 500 orders, including photo-review incentives
- Strong options for reusing reviews on social media and across Google, Meta and TikTok
- 24/7 chat and email support from the free plan up
Where it could improve
- Video reviews and integrations sit on Convert, which starts at $49.99/month
- Convert includes 300 orders and adds $50 for every 300 more, so the bill rises quickly in busy months
Pricing: Beginner is free. Convert is $49.99/month for 300 orders, plus $50 per additional 300 orders. Unlimited is $299.99/month. Prices are from the Loox Shopify App Store listing, because loox.io’s pricing page didn’t load when we checked.
Who it’s for: fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands where customer photos do the selling, especially below 500 orders a month.
4. Okendo
Best for growing brands that want reviews and loyalty from one vendor

Okendo sells reviews alongside loyalty, quizzes, referrals and surveys. Its website now leads with custom-priced platform bundles (the Okendo Platform covers up to 3,500 orders a month), while self-serve review plans are listed on its Shopify App Store page, where it’s rated 4.8 from 1,427 reviews.
The free plan covers up to 50 orders a month with automated review request emails, a smart review form, a review rewards engine, review displays, Google SEO snippets, review grouping and moderation. Growth adds AI review summaries and keywords, a TikTok Shop integration and a Q&A widget. Power adds review campaigns, an advanced CSS editor, email and SMS integrations, advanced reporting and managed onboarding.
What we liked
- Review rewards and grouping are included from the free plan
- A clear upgrade path into loyalty, referrals, quizzes and surveys from the same vendor
- Okendo says onboarding can help import existing reviews
Where it could improve
- The free plan stops at 50 orders a month, and the jump from Essential ($19) to Growth ($119) is steep
- Email and SMS integrations are listed on Power, at $299/month
Pricing: Free (50 orders/month), Essential $19/month (200 orders), Growth $119/month (1,500 orders) and Power $299/month (3,500 orders), from the Shopify App Store. Annual billing saves 8–11%. Platform bundles on okendo.com are custom-priced. Okendo pricing.
Who it’s for: brands past their first year that expect to add loyalty or referrals and want one vendor for both.
5. Yotpo
Best for brands that want Google Seller Ratings and AI review tools

Yotpo is one of the best-known names in Shopify reviews, rated 4.8 from 4,629 reviews on the App Store. It sells Reviews & UGC, Loyalty & Referrals and an AI visibility product, and its pricing changes with your monthly order volume.
The free plan covers up to 50 monthly orders, with automatic review requests, an email template library, sentiment and profanity checks and on-site display. Starter adds photo and video collection, Google rich snippets, Google Shopping ads and a reviews carousel. Pro adds Google Seller Ratings, custom questions, an AI reviews summary and smart sorting. Higher Premium and Enterprise tiers add syndication, translations and dedicated success managers.
What we liked
- Google Seller Ratings on Pro, which few apps here list
- AI tools for summarising and sorting reviews
- A path to enterprise features such as retail syndication
Where it could improve
- Pricing climbs with order volume: Starter is $15/month on the App Store, but Yotpo’s own page shows $89/month for Starter and $169/month for Pro at up to 500 orders
- Photo and video collection isn’t on the free plan
Pricing: On the Shopify App Store: Free (50 orders), Starter $15/month and Pro $119/month, with prices changing by order volume. On yotpo.com at up to 500 orders a month: Starter $89/month and Pro $169/month. Premium and Enterprise are quoted. Yotpo pricing.
Who it’s for: mid-size and larger brands that care about Google Seller Ratings and want an enterprise route later.
6. Growave
Best for stores that want loyalty, wishlist and reviews on one bill

Growave is a retention suite rather than a pure review app. Its App Store listing is titled “Loyalty & Wishlist”, and reviews are one of three tools in the free plan. It’s rated 4.8 from 1,296 reviews.
The free plan covers 200 orders a month with a loyalty points program, wishlist, product reviews and data imports and exports, with Growave branding and 48-hour email support. Entry adds a review request email series, referrals, nudges and one integration such as Klaviyo. Growth adds VIP tiers, store credit, reviews in the Google Shopping feed, Instagram UGC and back-in-stock wishlist emails.
What we liked
- Loyalty, wishlist and reviews together on a free plan
- A low $15 Entry plan that adds review request emails
- Google Shopping reviews and back-in-stock wishlist emails on Growth
Where it could improve
- Review request emails aren’t on the free plan, and the free plan shows Growave branding
- Google Shopping reviews need Growth at $199/month, a big step up from Entry
Pricing: Free (200 orders), Entry $15/month (500 orders, then $20 per 100), Growth $199/month (1,500 orders, then $15 per 100), Plus $499/month (3,000 orders, then $10 per 100) and Unlimited $999/month. There’s a 14-day free trial. Growave pricing.
Who it’s for: stores that want loyalty points and a wishlist as much as reviews, and would rather pay one vendor for all three.
7. Stamped
Best for established brands with an existing Klaviyo stack

Stamped (listed as Stamped Reviews & Loyalty, 4.7 from 3,755 reviews) sells three products: Reviews, Loyalty and Repeat, a post-purchase automation product. Each has its own subscription.
Its review product covers in-email review collection, customizable on-site widgets, photo and video UGC, and integrations with Google, Klaviyo and others. Stamped also lists Q&A and AI sentiment analysis in its FAQ, and plans include up to two domains.
What we liked
- Shoppers can leave a review inside the request email
- Photo and video UGC on every review plan
- Monthly plans with no contract
Where it could improve
- No free plan in its App Store listing
- Pricing depends on where you buy: the website starts at $199/month for a single product, while self-serve App Store plans start at $23/month for 200 orders
Pricing: On the Shopify App Store: Reviews $23/month (200 orders), $99/month (1,000 orders) and $199/month (5,000 orders). On stamped.io, plans start at $199/month for one product and $798/month for multi-product access. Extra domains are $100/month each. Stamped pricing.
Who it’s for: established brands already running Klaviyo that want reviews, loyalty and post-purchase flows from one specialist.
One review app or one platform for everything?
A typical Shopify store ends up with a review app, an email app, a popup app and a chat app. Each has its own bill, its own setup and its own copy of your customer list. Looking at plan cards, the integration that connects reviews to email is often on the paid tier: Judge.me lists all integrations on Awesome, Loox on Convert, Okendo’s email and SMS integrations on Power, and Growave gives you one integration on Entry.
The bigger cost is lost context. When a two-star review sits in one app and your email flows sit in another, the unhappy customer often gets the same promotional email as everyone else. Emailwish keeps reviews, email, popups, chat and wishlists on one profile, so a review can start a follow-up flow, appear in a popup, or feed a segment without anything to sync.
That said, a specialist still makes sense in some cases. If you need review syndication to Google Shopping, Meta or TikTok, large imports from Amazon or AliExpress, or Google Seller Ratings, Judge.me, Loox or Yotpo go further than an all-in-one app today.
Which one is right for your store?

Start with your store’s biggest need. Emailwish is our pick in every case: one app collects the reviews, sends the emails that ask for them and reuses them in popups.
| Your store | Our pick | Why |
|---|---|---|
| New store, no budget yet | Emailwish (free Seed plan) | Photo and video reviews, review request emails, popups and live chat on the free plan |
| Growing store without a marketer | Emailwish Launch ($35/month) | Review requests, after-review follow-ups and popups run from one app, with about 10 flows live at setup |
| Photo-heavy fashion or beauty brand | Emailwish | Photo and video reviews on every plan, shown on a product-page review wall and reused in popups |
| Volume swings a lot (sales, launches) | Emailwish | Priced by email credits and contacts, not orders, so a big sales month doesn’t raise your review bill. Most review apps on this list charge by monthly orders |
| Planning repeat purchases next | Emailwish | Wishlists, back-in-stock alerts and segments built on review activity, so happy reviewers get win-back and cross-sell emails |
| Brand focused on Google | Emailwish | Google review rich results on every plan (star ratings in search; Google decides when to show them) |
| Already paying for separate email and review apps | Emailwish | Reviews, email flows and popups share one customer profile and one bill, and existing reviews import from your old app |
| You sell on WooCommerce too | Emailwish | Works on both Shopify and WooCommerce. For WooCommerce plugins, see our top review apps for WooCommerce |

FAQ: top 7 Shopify review apps
1. What is the best review app for Shopify?
It depends on what you need the reviews to do. Among the top 7 Shopify review apps in this guide: for reviews, email, popups, chat and wishlists in one app, Emailwish, which is our own product. For a free or flat-priced review app with unlimited photo and video reviews, Judge.me. For photo-led brands, Loox.
2. Is Judge.me free?
Yes. Judge.me’s Free plan costs $0 and includes unlimited product and store reviews, unlimited photo and video reviews, Google rich snippets and 24/7 support. The Awesome plan is $15/month and adds AI features, Google Shopping, coupons, referrals and all integrations (checked 1 October 2026).
3. Can I import reviews from AliExpress?
Yes, with some apps. Judge.me lists AliExpress, Amazon, Etsy and Google Business Profile imports. Ali Reviews, an app built around this, includes an unlimited AliExpress review importer on its free plan, which publishes up to 10 reviews per product. Check each marketplace’s terms before importing.
4. Do review apps slow down my store?
Any app that adds widgets to your storefront adds code, so the honest answer is “it can”. Keep it small: switch on only the widgets you use, prefer apps that use Shopify app embeds and theme blocks, remove leftover code when you uninstall an app, and compare your product page in Google PageSpeed Insights before and after.
5. Can I send emails based on what customers say in reviews?
With most review apps, only by connecting an email tool, and that integration is often on a paid plan. Emailwish runs reviews and email together, so review request and after-review flows work out of the box, and you can segment on review activity, for example following up with a customer who left a low rating.
6. Do I still need a separate review app if I use Emailwish?
Not for collecting and displaying reviews: every Emailwish plan, including Free, includes review request emails, an on-site review form with photos and a product-page review wall. You may still want a specialist if you need review imports, Google Shopping review feeds or video reviews, which Emailwish doesn’t list today.
Top 7 Shopify Review Apps: Conclusion
The top 7 Shopify review apps all collect and display reviews well. The real differences are what you pay as orders grow and what happens to a review after it’s written. Judge.me is the safest flat-price choice, Loox suits photo-led brands, Okendo and Growave suit stores heading into loyalty, Yotpo suits brands that want Google Seller Ratings, and Stamped suits established brands on Klaviyo.
